My Health Home set out to create a modern, future‑focused general practice within the newly opened YG Riverside Village in Yeerongpilly. Their vision was to establish a flagship clinic – Sandstone Healthcare Yeerongpilly – that would elevate patient care for a rapidly growing community.
My Health Home’s ambition extended beyond simply delivering a clinic. Their new space was purposefully designed to support innovative workflows, evidence‑based care models and a truly team‑centred approach to healthcare. Intended as a step forward in their 20‑year journey – from Inala to Brisbane’s inner western corridor – the new site needed to reflect their enduring commitment to comprehensive, personalised and community-connected care.
Our team was engaged to deliver the project under a lump sum contract, applying our fitout expertise and highly collaborative approach to ensure the client’s quality and program expectations were met with confidence.
The 500m² Level 1 tenancy began as a warm shell within a newly built development, offering a strong foundation for the fitout. Above-slab services were clearly documented, and our team built on this strong base by proactively navigating the below‑slab design, which required refinement once real site conditions were understood. Through close coordination with subcontractors and design consultants, we quickly resolved these challenges and maintained steady project momentum. Our team worked closely with the active retail tenancies on the floor below, coordinating access to complete new drainage installations with minimal disruption to their operations.
A culture of open communication, early issue identification and solution‑focused teamwork supported efficient design resolution throughout the build. Stakeholders commended the responsiveness and professionalism of our site team, highlighting the positive working relationships developed across all parties.
We successfully delivered seamless services integration and high‑quality finishes throughout the 10 consulting rooms, two surgery rooms and pathology collection centre, while ensuring smooth interfaces with the client’s own operational installations.
The project was delivered early, allowing the Sandstone Healthcare team to commence their internal installations ahead of schedule – a key outcome given their planned launch and community engagement activities.
The new clinic represents a strong alignment of vision, design and execution. It provides a sophisticated, future‑ready environment that supports Sandstone’s unique model of coordinated, holistic care. As new residential towers rise around Yeerongpilly Green, the clinic is positioned to serve thousands of new residents with high‑quality, patient‑centred healthcare.
From builders and architects to pathology partners and technology specialists, the project brought together a team committed to excellence – something the client recognised and celebrated in the lead‑up to their opening event.
The completed fitout stands as a testament to genuine partnership, problem-solving and craftsmanship. It marks the next chapter in Sandstone Health’s mission to deliver “Health for Good,” bringing award‑winning, community‑minded care from their origins in Inala to a new and vibrant urban precinct.
