Our origin story
What do a New Zealander, a Manxman and a South African all have in common?
In an unexpected twist of fate, our protagonists united not in the punchline of a joke but in a shared concern for the dying spirit of the commercial construction industry.
Warrin Orman, Chris Jones and Roger Wright, once colleagues at a major Australian fitout and refurbishment company, lamented the industry’s shift towards a soulless landscape dominated by red tape and rigid contractual systems. The days of handshake agreements and relationship-driven projects seemed like relics of the past, replaced by sub-par deliveries and a revolving door of unhappy customers.
Recognising each other’s strengths, they hatched a plan to remedy this situation – a plan that would introduce a nimble, client-focused offering to the market. Their vision aimed to revive the human touch in an industry overshadowed by red tape, understanding that clients are drawn to people, not companies.
So, in 2016, FARA was born.
