The Brief
To enhance the customer experience and brand awareness for the tenancies, Retail First initiated a refurbishment of levels two and three of Sunnybank Hills Shopping Centre. This project included upgrades to tenancies, new kiosks, and revitalised common areas, all while ensuring minimal disruption to the centre’s daily operations.
Our contribution
To address the challenges of working in a live shopping environment, we carefully planned the project in phases over fourteen weeks. This allowed us to replace non-compliant balustrading around the atrium while keeping the shopping centre operational. The works were completed on time and within budget, ensuring business continuity. Our team managed the relocation and demolition of an existing kiosk, refreshed the tenancies, and upgraded common areas, all while providing essential service improvements to meet Retail First’s vision.

With refreshed shops, improved common areas, and new decorative features, the centre remains at the forefront of the local shopping scene.
